Hand embroidered APPLIQUE vintage bag SP 41

A small, skillfully applique'd bag with cord strap. Both sides are fully embroidered.

This type of applique stitching is a craft of the nomadic desert herding tribes. They move their families and their livestock throughout the year. Layers of differently coloured cotton are trimmed into points and carefully stitched to the base fabric.

All original fine stitched cotton in antique golds, maroon and olive green.
