SILVER RING VINTAGE SP-03 – Berry ball of densely packed silver balls about 26mm across mounted on a decorative neck of 5 mm, raised from a hand-wrought decorative open-work band of about 1 cm width.
These silver beads are handmade in halves, designed to tinkle like bells if beads were inserted, perhaps this much-loved ring once had bells.
A well-worn vintage tribal ring, the band of openwork blossoms shows years of wear. Always a story! A solid heavy-weight at 20 gm.

ABOUT ORIENT EXPRESS VINTAGE SILVER RINGS
These authentic antique silver rings were collected in India in the 1970's and 1980's at “street level” markets in Rajasthan, the desert state known as the “Land of Kings”. They are good real silver but were made for local villagers, before the .925 stamp was in common use for export. They were much-loved and carry the rich patina of years of wear that cannot be imitated. I have cleaned them lightly to maintain the dark oxidization that highlights their old textures. Each is unique, please pay attention to the band size. I like to imagine the stories that the hands who wore them could tell..
