This spectacular vintage Pashto Tribal neck piece has the whole party going on at once! A fully traditional heavy necklace collar in fine condition. This high quality piece is so unique and full of movement and texture.
Multiple hand-wrought chain links make up the collar of the neck piece, embellished with traditional meena style glass foil-backed crescent elements in bright blue and red. There are more red and green glass rhinestones winking beneath the chain collar.
The hanging fringe is made up of antique Afghan coins topped with red glass oval pendants cradled in hand cut toothed clasps. These individual glass pendants end in a unique vintage Afghan coin topped with a floral rosette. This neckpiece appears to be made of low grade silver alloy.
At least 50 years old.
